Artwork Notes:
This photo was taken by Stephanie Olga Kay (
www.stephanieolga.com ) and edited by me, Izzy Man. This photo was taken in the spring of 2011, during a prelim video shoot for HYZY – Psycocrusher in Astoria. Steph found a dope spot with some of the illest street artwork I’ve seen. This wall art of Albert Einstein was my favorite piece, and writing the lyrics and listening to the feel of this song makes me see this picture whenever I listen while closing my eyes. Try it out. You’ll probably feel the same way too. And if you don’t… you can go ahead and make your own mixtape and add your own photos. If you would like to have some dope photography, videography, or any moment captured, contact Stephanie at

Song Notes:
This ridiculously amazing beat is from the ridiculously amazing producer/singer/rapper/songwriter Marv a.k.a. Marvillous Beats, or Marvil for short (even though Marv is shorter.) The first night we all bumped heads after the set up by Sooji Blum, D Hype and I were definitely hooked on this dude’s creativity, soul filled beats, and relentless attitude towards perfection. Marvil had already recorded some raps to this beat with some other cats, but for some reason we all just vibed quickly and wrote new verses within an hour. Then we laced the verse within another hour. And then the song was done. Now everytime this up and coming producer from New Rochelle comes thru, we know it’s about to go down. Also, f.y.i. the first couple of lines from D Hype are probably some of my favorite lines ever.
“HYZY and Marvillous… you wish you were part of this… empire like Ottoman, I tremble at the thought of it.”
I tremble indeed.
lyrics
(D Hype)
HYZY and Marvillous
You wish you were part of this
Empire like Ottoman
I tremble at the thought of it
Flo breaking at the seams
Wavy like careens
Collide dreams Kareem filling except lean
Heavy on your conscious
Pontius Pilate kind a mean
But we follow thru, cuz everything you do will follow you
And if I sound Fugees cuz I’m blasting that thing
Doo Wop’n unlocking verbal slaughter point ding
I’m on another level know a lot of people saying that
Ocarina of time when nobody was playing that
Take a second to catch it; I’m calling it belated rap
The thing is that if you late then you’ll hate yourself, I’ll bring it back
Spit a little slower
Still choppy like the mower
I leak hot sauce
That mean I spit Krakatoa
The beat been tore up,
I Rise like the dough (uh)
I had to keep the pot hot knowing I would blow up
(Marvillous)
It's kind of funny how you do what you do which you same-news crew
Standing still while you move, beats or recording it's all just a
warning
Not only is it dooms day private it's just morning
Lost hope niggas the ones I shall differ, thirst for the times as
Smooth as fine liquor
Huh, bring the tuition and the cost back, to the owner of my womb-
Rockin' God’s back, bless,
Breathe on the flow ride the waves with my crew,
Eating every bar, every B to the Que, I to the I, see you we inside,
One, that's how we move to the music,
Blessed with a soul that blends when I use it, put myself through the
Silence every time I don't abuse it that's music
Inspirations Marvillous, D. Lo, IZZY
(Izzy)
It starts with the crack of dawn
Night black like Zack, mastodon
Pass it on
to the next bagging rapper
Toast wheat jelly peanut butter better bag it up
Grab the bus, to the back
eyelid falls back to the island
Where I am
Still with the music on
Marvillous and HYZY bring it home
Hype is the hope Izzy brings the Magicsauce
We so Marvil baby we be scoops, Häagen-Dazs
With a bass line,
You say time
Is only on the clock
We rap Delorean
Sorry if you can’t go
121 gigawatts
88 Miles per hour
Great Scott
We run this rhythm hot
Each beat is a gift
The tighter we click
We drift
Into another river rapid
We flip it and flap it
Flying off the Google map
It could’ve been easier to say that we won’t kill it again
We rhyme the book of dead to resurrect your flow and then
You deserve to spit it hot, but nobody’s getting hurt
Put the verse in epidermis and I dig you out of the dirt
Insert another verse here.
