Artist Notes:
T.E. Lawrence once said "Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that all was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dream with open eyes, and make it possible."
This one is for all my fellow dreamers of the day.
Art is not what I do; it's what I am.

Song Notes:
Janie and I have known each other since we could remember, going to Queens Bible Church since we were 2 years old. Her family and my family were very closely intertwined, making her family. We used to sing in church choirs and concerts, so this track was about 20 years in the making. After extensive talks over the kind of music we wanted to make, we both knew we could make great uplifting tracks of positivity, instilling that spirit of God within each note to help make music that can move you. “Airheart” is literally the first thing we ever created, along with the talented and creative mind of D Hype. I had this track structured in ¾ time, which I thought could be an interesting challenge for rapping as most songs are 4/4 time. A glimpse into the song making process went a little like this: Janie, Hype, and I listened to the beat on repeat, wrote down words and thoughts of what it made us feel, connected those thoughts, created sentences, structures, then melody. Then came the harmonies, the rhythm, the placement, and the feel. We literally composed, wrote, and recorded the song within 4-5 hours. What a great first impression. Keep a look out for Janie, as her talents and creativity have only just begun to blossom.

lyrics

(Janie)
Forever
Grows farther away
Don’t wander on
Why don’t you stay?

So, open your eyes
This is how I see you
What was lost
Can be found, if
You break,
We’ll make it new

(Izzy)
If the sun decides
This is now my past
Take a photograph
Make forever last
Finger linger in my wind path
Tighten up the brakes
Open up the flaps
Try to be the one
Filling up your map
We on this expedition
Wishing for that
Kind of hard to find a part of item
Open up your chest
Whistle through the grass
Try to see if there is breathing life on Venus
Even we believe into a higher being
We would be the one to break the sky first
Even the birds get over the thirst of flight,
Dirt, is where we from and where we going back
Curse me into a blessing
Addressing that
What is happiness without being euphoric?
Is it lost if you aren’t looking for it?

(Janie)
Let’s fly
Write our names on the sun
Gone are the days
Where we have to fight
We’ve already won
In this freedom to leave
Where we wanted to stay
You’re the only thing I see
You’re my air, heart
Be my air, heart
Air.

(D Hype)
Ride the air straight thru the instrumental
Going thru tornadoes, hope you got the memo
Factor in the wind resistance
Been a part of my existence
I miss this
I’m not a stranger to the current danger
Start the engine vroom, Fly it out the Hangar
Let the reins loose
Had to rise to the occasion in the booth
Private Getaway
Never thought I’d see
Never thought I’d say
Every day a present
So I keep pressing on
Mr.Drifta would you take a picture
Out here on the lawn
Promise you it shouldn’t take too long
Plot the x next to your autograph
If I ever crash hard I’m a have
“Aviator” written on my epitaph

(Janie)
Let’s fly
Write our names on the sun
Gone are the days
Where we have to fight
We’ve already won
In this freedom to leave
Where we wanted to stay
You’re the only thing I see
You’re my air, heart
Be my air, heart
Air.

(Izzy)
Could it be the only way out of infinity
Is living on a line so perpendicular to death
I would never rest
They could never guess
Where to find it
I am not the x

(Janie)
You’re my air, heart
Be my air, heart
Air.

(D Hype)
Way past Neverland
Hope I never land
Watch the waves that wash away the sands
Off of time
Off the beaten trail
Reach the mountain summit all I see is Braille

(Janie)
You’re my air, heart
Be my air, heart
Air.

(Izzy)
This is how I read the cliffs
Open up your palm
Let me show you this
Just another map hidden in the fist
There are hieroglyphs
Deep within your wrist

(Janie)
You’re my air, heart
Be my air, heart
Air.

(D Hype)
Revelation
We head to higher ground
Air is thinner at this elevation
Search the world and you might find
What you’re looking for
Was left behind

(Janie)
You’re my air, heart
Be my air, heart
Air.

(Janie)
Let’s fly
Write our names on the sun
Gone are the days
Where we have to fight
We’ve already won
In this freedom to leave
Where we wanted to stay
You’re the only thing I see
You’re my air, heart
Be my air, heart
Air.
